Glendale Elementary School District
The Glendale Elementary School District is situated in downtown Glendale, Arizona. Striving to meet the needs of it's more than 11,000 students, Glendale Elementary School District is made up of fourteen K-8 schools.

GESD's accomplishments include:
Challenger Middle School has twice been named one of five Arizona A+ Schools.
Two of our schools were selected as Arizona Literacy Sites.
GESD teachers have received national, state, and local recognition including: Educator of the Year: Arizona Hispanic Educator of the Year; Glendale Jaycees' Outstanding Young
Educator of the Year, National Bilingual Teacher of the Year runner-up, Director of All-State Band and Chorus, NASA's Christa McAuliffe Fellowship second place winner, Presidential Award for Excellence in Elementary Mathematics, runner-up for National Teachers Training Institute, and many other honors. Awards for excellence in financial reporting, outstanding safety practices and an outstanding public relations program have also been bestowed upon the district.

The Glendale Union High School District
The Glendale Union High School District is made up of ten high schools,
grades 9-12, serving portions of the cities of Phoenix and Glendale, Arizona.
This 60 square mile urban district has approximately 350,000 constituents in the
Phoenix metropolitan area. There are approximately 13,000 students enrolled in the Glendale Union High School District.
All schools within the district are accredited by the Arizona Department of Education and the
North Central Association of Schools and Colleges (NCA).
Here are some highlights to this nationally recognized school district for it's performance-based and results-oriented approach to teaching and learning.
High standards and expectations are set for ALL students.
Students achieve top scores on statewide performance-based tests.
Students consistently score above the state and national
averages in American College Testing (ACT), the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) and
national standardized testing with continued improvement each year.
Glendale Union’s dropout rate is among the lowest in the state (5.6%). More than three quarters of graduates pursue further education.
Promotion of educational
accountability and ongoing staff development.
Teacher-based instructional planning, district- developed assessments and
data-based decision making.
The Glendale Union High School District receives wide community support and partnerships
with business and civic organizations. Glendale Union is
currently undergoing an $84.4 million renovation and building project majority approved by voters in May, 1993.
