There is so much you'll want to know about Phoenix if you are considering calling it home.
For starters, there's 360 days of sunshine to be enjoyed in the Valley of the Sun. Clear blue skies and plenty of sunshine encourage an active outdoor lifestyle. With over 430 square miles and an approximate 1.5 million residents, Phoenix provides you with an economic, ethnic and culutural diversity beyond compare.
If you have just arrived you will probably want to stretch your legs in one of the worlds largest municipal parks with over 16,500 acres at South Mountain Park. Take advantage of the hiking, biking and horseback riding in one of the desert mountain links that encircle the city of Phoenix known as the Phoenix Mountain Preserve.
Both Squaw Peak and Camelback Mountain offer popular after-work hikes. Besides enjoying the parks, golf courses and green oasis the city parks feature, you'll enjoy all of the amenities Phoenix has to offer too.
While finding your bearings, take in a ballgame at the Bank One Ballpark or take in a performance at the Herberger Theatre. If you just want to be a spectator, visit the America Center and the America West Arena to watch indoor soccer home of the Phoenix Sandsharks and hockey home of the Coyotes.
There is plenty of shopping, dining, and sports located in downtown Phoenix like the Metrocenter, as well as neighboring cities of Scottsdale, Mesa, Tempe, Glendale and Gilbert.
